Surface finishes

Three ways
to feel titanium.

Before anodizing, the titanium surface is brushed, polished, or bead-blasted to achieve the desired luster and shine. Here they are side by side — one tube, worked three ways.

One titanium tube finished three ways: brushed on the left, mirror-polished through the middle, satin bead-blasted on the right.
01

Brushed

A fine directional grain gives a soft satin sheen — understated, with subtle movement in the light.

02

Polished

Hand-worked to a mirror-bright shine. High reflection makes anodized color read deep, glassy, and vivid.

03

Satin bead-blasted

Glass beads leave an even, matte texture. Color turns muted and velvety, with no glare.

Titanium doesn't need paint.
It makes its own color.

Anodizing is an electrochemical process: a precisely controlled voltage grows a transparent oxide layer on the titanium surface, just nanometers thick. That thickness decides which wavelengths of light reflect back — producing vivid, permanent color with zero added material.
