Surface finishes

Three finishes.
Infinite looks.

The surface finish changes the entire character of a design. Choose one — or combine multiple across different frame sections.

Polished
Mirror-bright, high-reflectivity. Maximum color saturation. Shows every scratch — reserve for show designs or low-use components.
Brushed
Directional satin with a refined, matte sheen. Our most versatile finish. Hides light scratches well — excellent for daily riders.
Satin Bead-blasted
Uniform matte texture from micro-bead blasting. Soft, understated luxury. Very scratch-resistant finish — ideal for heavy-use frames.

Common questions

Frame service FAQ.

Can't find your answer? Contact us directly.

Yes — any commercially pure (CP) or alloy titanium frame can be anodized. We work with all major Ti frame brands including Litespeed, Lynskey, Moots, and custom builders. If you're unsure whether your frame qualifies, just contact us.
We can't speak for every manufacturer's warranty policy. You should check with your frame builder directly. Anodizing is a surface treatment that doesn't alter the structural properties of the titanium.
Anodized titanium color is created by the Ti oxide layer itself, not an applied coating. It is permanent, and won't chip, peel, or fade from UV exposure. However, the anodized finish is susceptible to scratching. Bead-blasted and brushed finishes are the most scratch-resistant.
Standard frame designs are 1–2 weeks from receipt of your frame. Complex multi-color or show designs may take 3–4 weeks. We'll give you an accurate timeline after your design consultation.
Yes, please disassemble your bike and send only the titanium frame and/or components. We'll handle all surface prep from there including cleaning, degreasing, and masking of bearing surfaces, threads, and contact points.
You can ship to us (we'll provide our address after booking), or drop off locally if you're in the Ames, Iowa area. We recommend insuring your frame for its full value during shipping. We'll return ship via Bike Flights with full insurance.
