About TiO2 Designs

Located in Ames, Iowa, TiO2 Designs began as a passion project for a cyclist with a love for titanium bikes. The experiment began after discovering anodizing process and the natural ability of titanium to produce a brilliant spectrum of colors. Research was performed, titanium tubing scraps were obtained for testing, electrolyte was mixed, leads were attached, voltage was applied, and TiO2 Designs was formed. Since the initial experiment, the passion project has grown with the goal of helping riders create a customized aesthetic for their Ti bikes, components, and accessories.
